Hoarder is a label to trust when you are in need of high-octane futuristic club sounds, so Argentina’s in-demand Furz is a great fit on the imprint, providing its 23rd release in the name of Intergalactical Conexion, a quadruple set of club-friendly vibes on a wicked slab of the black stuff.

"Intergalactic Conexion" Super-tight percussion and vocal clips burst through the speakers on the title-track, which opens up the EP, before a chunky bassline gets the whole thing bumped up another notch. Meteoric FX stabs and an M1-style riff join forces to give added weight, short stabby breaks cutting the track up in sections. At the halfway stage, the bass gets twisted and freaky, which gives the track another lift, building to another stabby break, this time lasting just a little longer. From the break, the track goes back to its central theme – tight beats, freaky bass, FX & vox clips, allowing the track to come to a close in fine, mixable style.

"Better Get Ready" We are then treated to Better Get Ready, which wastes no time introducing itself with warm stabs and a super-low bass. The drums are again neat and tight, crisp hats working brilliantly with the FX stabs marking each bar. Until the breakdown, the track rolls along in its own huggy fashion, before some early-90s Belgian rave style stabs come in for the breakdown. This gives a great contradiction in sounds, as the ravey stabs give a big beefy kick to the track, before it settles back down into its previous warm and bassy place. The track doesn’t veer too far from its opening theme, aside from the breakdown, which is just fine, sometimes less-is-more.

"Take Out" Skippy vibes and clipped vox samples are the order of the day for Take Out, again this rattles along at a great pace, the bassline tucks itself in with the percs, the vocal parts work like synths and the riff which comes into play seems to have its hat tipped in the direction of the mid-90s output from labels such as Cleveland City. The bouncing bass, stabby riffs and clipped vox all adding to a super-chunky club workout.

"Double Funk" To round off this neat club-friendly 12″ we have Double Funk, which again has hints of M1 bass, but a wicked low-end version of it, that gorgeous rounded sound which never seems to fail. Perhaps the deepest of the tracks, which is no bad thing at all; as is often the case, the closing track on an EP like this has a less full-on approach, which can be the most pleasing thing. This cut is a wonderful heads-down affair, again Furz showcases real percussive know-how, with a subtler stab which sits shoulder-to-shoulder with the bassline for superb effect. As with the previous three tracks, this also shows how adept Furz is at crafting straight-up but hugely effective house music.
